2026 American Music Awards: Winners List (Updating)

The 2026 American Music Awards are underway from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

The Queen Latifah-hosted show kicked off with a pre-taped performance from BTS at the K-pop group’s concert the night before. Latifah then took the stage with a brief monologue, where she shouted out this year’s nominees.

The first awards were presented by Nikki Glaser (best rock/alternative song to Sombr) and Paula Abdul with Jason Derulo (song of the year to Huntrix singers EJAE, Audrey Nuna, Rei Ami for “Golden” from KPop Demon Hunters).

Hootie and the Blowfish also performed a medley of their ’90s hits “Hold My Hand” and “Only Wanna Be With You.” And shortly after winning an AMA, Sombr took the stage for an intense performance filled with flashing lights that ended with him getting caught in a rain storm.

The Pussycat Dolls returned to the AMAs stage for a medley of hits including “Dont Cha,” “Buttons” and “When I Grow Up” where Nicole Scherzinger and her bandmates were joined by Busta Rhymes.

Karol G performed and received the International Artist Award of Excellence from John Legend.

The Black Eyed Peas won best throwback song for “Rock That Body,” with will.i.am, apl.de.ap and Taboo joined by erstwhile member Fergie who got emotional as she thanked the fans and spoke about how she was happy to accept the award alongside her friends and shouted out her son Axl.

Presenters include Alysa Liu, Anthony Ramos, EJAE, Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias, Hannah Berner, Hilary Duff, Jason Derulo, John Legend, Lisa Rinna, Ludacris, Mariah the Scientist, Matt Rife, Megan Stalter and Paul W. Downs, Melanie Martinez, Nikki Glaser, Paula Abdul, REI AMI, Russell Dickerson and BTS, in a special live appearance and their first at an awards show in four years.

Additional performers include lifetime achievement award recipient Billy Idol, KATSEYE, New Kids on the Block, Keith Urban, Maluma, Riley Green, Teddy Swims, Teyana Taylor and Twenty One Pilots.

Going into Monday night’s show, Taylor Swift leads with eight nominations, followed by seven-time nominees Morgan Wallen, Sabrina Carpenter, Olivia Dean and Sombr. Winners are determined entirely by fan voting.

The 2026 AMAs are airing live coast-to-coast on CBS and streaming on Paramount+.

The AMAs were created by Dick Clark Productions. DCP is owned by Penske Media Corporation, The Hollywood Reporter‘s parent company, in a subsidiary joint venture between Penske Media and Eldridge.
