IYO SKY wins Queen of the Ring thanks to Danhausen’s curse

Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan fought IYO SKY in the final match of the Queen of the Ring tournament today (June 27) at WWE Night of Champions in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
If you had any doubt about who was going to win the crown, Liv sealed her fate when she got herself cursed by Danhausen before the match even started.
IYO jammed her knee on the steel steps late in the bout, and Liv quickly tried to tap her out in the same half crab that Charlotte Flair fell victim to during the tournament. But IYO persevered through the pain and was able to put Liv away with a Spanish Fly and Over The Moonsault finisher for the three count.
After the match was over, Queen SKY made her choice to challenge for Morgan’s women’s world championship at SummerSlam. Is there anything to read between the lines there about the status of injured WWE Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley?
Are you ready to run back Morgan vs. SKY at WWE’s biggest party of the summer? Let me know in the comments below, Cagesiders.
