EastEnders star Jo Joyner returns to Channel 5 in psychological thriller Riptide, airing over four consecutive nights

Actress Jo Joyner makes her return to Channel 5 this week in another psychological thriller.
Following Little Disasters, which has aired on Channel 5 over the past fortnight, the EastEnders star will appear on television screens once more in Riptide.
If Riptide rings a bell, that’s because the four-part drama initially broadcast on Channel 5 in 2022 and attracted considerable audiences. The drama screened over a week during the Christmas period, beginning on 27 December.
However, audiences are in for a treat when the thriller makes its comeback this week, broadcasting across four consecutive evenings on Channel 5.
A synopsis for the series states: “Filmed in Melbourne, Alison’s life is plunged into despair when her new Australian husband vanishes after a morning surf. Did he get caught in a dangerous riptide – or is there more to his disappearance than meets the eye?”

Channel 5 will broadcast repeats of Riptide throughout the week, commencing on Monday, 29 June. Audiences can tune in from 9pm.

Jo Joyner, recognised for EastEnders, Shakespeare and Hathaway: Private Investigators, Stay Close, Ackley Bridge and Little Disasters, portrays Alison Weston, while Shameless and The Flats star Ciarán Griffiths, also familiar from The Bill and Coronation Street, assumes the role of Michael Lane.
Peter O’Brien, known for Neighbours, The Unusual Suspects, and Grey Nomads, portrays Sean Weston, and Outlander star David Berry portrays Dan Burrell. Ally Fowler (Wentworth) portrays Rachel Weston, Pia Miranda (Mustangs FC, Wentworth) takes on Jenny Clark, Benny Turland (Neighbours, Home and Away) appears as Ethan Weston, Asher Yasbincek (The Heights, Heartbreak High) features as Hannah Lane, and Yazeed Daher (The Hunting, Safe Harbour) plays Logan Williams.
