Significant storm activity, including possible tornadoes, was being reported across the province late Friday.
SaskPower’s Joel Cherry said crews in Speers believe an outage there, reported around 3:50 p.m., was caused by a tornado.

Environment Canada meteorologist, Kyle Ziolkowksi, said he had just received a report of a house damaged in Waldheim around 6 p.m.
Ziolkowksi said two major storm systems hit Saskatchewan on Friday afternoon. One started near North Battleford and travelled east, possibly hitting the Village of Speers and Waldheim.
“We just got a report of a house being severely damaged in in Waldheim. So this is kind of an evolving situation currently right now,” Ziolkowksi said.
The second storm system developed just south of Dundurn and “put down a tornado pretty quickly,” that started moving to the east.
Ziolkowski said that system is reportedly responsible for tornados just south of Viscount, near Plunket and just outside Prudehomme, calling that storm “still ongoing” and “still a major concern” as it heads east towards Lanigan.
“Lots of tornadoes are being reported and we’re getting reports of damage in Waldheim currently,” Ziolkowski said.

He cautioned these developments are still just reports so far and further investigation is needed. However, Ziolkowski said, looking at social media, it does appear to suggest tornadoes touched down.
Weather and storm conditions remain severe around 6 p.m. on Friday, and Ziolkowski said they will likely remain so until around sunset.
“They’ll continue to move east towards the northeastern part of Saskatchewan. That’s our current trajectory,” Ziolkowski said.
“How long they last into the overnight hours is still kind of something that we we’re we’re uncertain on how the severity will kind of evolve into the evening.”
“We’re going to see still severe weather and more possible tornado reports,” he said.
Ziolkowski recommended staying tuned to current weather alerts as the storms continue.
Friday afternoon brought a number of tornado and severe thunderstorm warnings to central Saskatchewan.
The warnings come as a heat dome settles over the province, with humidex values reaching 45 C expected in some areas, lasting through the weekend.
Temperatures exceeding 32 C are expected for the next four days, Environment Canada said, with Saturday and Sunday being particularly hot and muggy. Overnight low temperatures will also not drop below 16 C, the weather agency said on Friday.
People in the Battlefords area were being advised to take cover on Friday afternoon as a tornado warning blanketed the area.
