It’ll be a typical summertime forecast for South Florida, but the rain and storm chances are a little lower than usual through today and the upcoming work week.

Low pressure over the eastern Gulf has a chance of becoming tropical in the next day or two but is expected to pull away from South Florida and drift to the northwest with possible wind and rain impacts for the west coast of Florida all the way to Louisiana.

That track will allow for drier air to filter in here locally so the rain chances will only be around 30% today and tomorrow and even lower by midweek. Highs will be typically hot for July, in the lower to middle 90s and we’ll be very close to heat advisory levels each day.
