Highway 3 closed in both directions due to wildfire, leaving Coquihalla as only alternative

Highway 3 is closed in both directions, as is Highway 1, leaving the Coquihalla Highway as the only arterial route out of the Fraser Valley this evening.
Highway 3 is closed between Hope and the Manning Park visitor centre off Grouse Road due to a wildfire.
The 12-hectare Norwegian Creek wildfire has the highway closed in both directions.
No detour is available, according to Drive BC and motorists are advised to watch for traffic control crews and signage.
Highway 5 currently he only alternate route available out of the Fraser Valley as Highway 1 is closed between Hells Gate and Boston Bar due to the Brunswick complex wildfires.
