UPDATE: 12-hectare wildfire now held beside Hwy 97 near Monte Lake

UPDATE
While it quickly grew, the wildfire near Monte Lake is now held at 12.24 hectares.
Located just south of the lake off Highway 97 the fire location is listed as Kristianson.
It is suspected to be human caused.
ORIGINAL
A wildfire has sparked alongside of Highway 97 between Kamloops and Vernon.
The blaze is currently 0.009 hectares in size according to BC Wildfire, who discovered it at around 2:20 p.m. on July 28.
The fire is located across the highway from Monte Lake. It is currently listed as out-of-control.
With the spot fire igniting just recently, its cause is still under investigation.
