Emmerdale‘s Gabby Thomas is set to make a shocking discovery next week, in the wake of Billy Fletcher’s attack. But will this information shed some light on who left Billy for dead?
Earlier this summer, Gabby and Billy sparked up a romance – much to Dawn Fletcher’s annoyance. Despite being engaged to Joe Tate, Dawn realised she still had feelings for her ex-husband and began meddling in the new relationship.

Things escalated when the former spouses shared a kiss, with Caleb Miligan spilling the beans to taunt Joe. While Joe vented to Graham Foster, Billy decided to end things with an annoyed Gabby.
In last night’s episode, Billy was found unconscious at the depot with a nasty head injury and was rushed to hospital. Caleb pointed the police in Joe’s direction but the latter told Dawn he wouldn’t have hurt Billy, despite knowing about the kiss.
Next week, Billy remains comatose in the hospital, with Joe remaining suspect number one amid the attack. Billy’s condition doesn’t improve and his life still appears to be in danger.
Meanwhile, Gabby is stunned to learn that Billy and Dawn recently kissed, despite the latter’s claim that their relationship was purely platonic. How will she react to this development? Could she use the information to push Joe further into the frame?

“The fallout from Billy’s attack brings revelations to light,” notes our source. “Although it may seem petty now, Gabby is still livid to learn that Billy tried to kiss Dawn shortly before he ended their own relationship.
“Although Dawn pushed Billy away, could Gabby still unfairly blame her rival for the betrayal?”
Our source adds: “It’s still touch and go for Billy, and Joe is fearing for his own future as he’s the police’s prime suspect! But did he attack Billy?”
