Ellie Leach is set to make a return to TV as part of a popular BBC programme. The 23-year-old is renowned for her role as troubled teen Faye Windass on Coronation Street, but left the ITV soap in 2023 following a 12-year stint on the cobbles. She has remained busy in the last few years, taking part in several hit TV shows.
Ellie came back onto our screens in 2023, going on to take home the glitterball trophy on BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing with her professional partner Vito Coppola. She wowed fans with her impressive ballroom and Latin skills in several showstopping routines.
The 23-year-old regularly shares updates of her life off-screen to her social media pages and has a following of almost 500,000 fans. She posts a variety of content from her day-to-day life, in particular fashion videos as she gets dressed for the day.
In a recent post on Instagram, Ellie shared a career update as she is set to appear on a hit BBC programme this week. The actress will take part in BBC Two programme Richard Osman’s House of Games, alongside Yinka Bokinni, Vicki Michelle and Peter Serafinowicz.
The show, hosted by Richard Osman, sees a team of celebrity contestants test their general knowledge skills in a variety of fun trivia-based games across each night of the week.
Ellie announced the news in a post on Instagram. Sharing a photo of herself on set, she wrote: “Faced the big red chair. Catch us on @houseofgames every night this week on BBC Two at 6pm.”

Ellie also shared the post to her stories, adding: “Tune in at 6pm every night this week on BBC Two to see me embarrass myself horribly.”
The former Coronation Street star has had an incredible couple of years since leaving the cobbles. Her most memorable moment is winning Strictly in 2023 paired with professional dancer Vito Coppola.
After impressing the nation with their footwork and their friendship, they headed into the Strictly final as odds-on favourites before lifting the Glitterball Trophy on the much-loved dance competition. Ellie and Vito have remained friends ever since.
Ellie recently visited Liverpool as part of an event at Space NK. The TV star headed to the shop on Peter’s Arcade in Liverpool One last week and posted one of her signature “Get dressed with me” reels ahead of the event.
She wore a pair of dark blue denim jeans styled with a white t-shirt and dark denim waistcoat to finish off. Ellie’s followers rushed to the comments to complement her outfit.
One said: “You’re my style queen always!! Adore everything you wear.” Another wrote: “Beautiful as always, you wear all your clothes so well.”
