Virginia boy’s death comes as more children are getting hurt on e-scooters

Badarayana Hungund was riding an electric scooter to a nearby friend’s house in Northern Virginia late last month when the young boy collided with a minivan.

The 9-year-old, who police said was not wearing a helmet, died. The driver of the vehicle was not at fault, Fairfax police said.
