Hollywood actor John Cena and his wife Shay Shariatzadeh were spotted arriving in Australia today, touching down at Sydney Airport on Friday morning.
The Peacemaker star, 48, is in Australia as part of his retirement tour for his other job: world champion wrestler. He’s set to have one of the final matches of his wrestling career in Perth before he officially retires from wrestling in December.

Signed to WWE since 2001, Cena made his name as a professional wrestler before making the transition into acting in 2006 with his movie debut The Marine.
Since then, he’s appeared in dozens of films, with starring roles in hits like Trainwreck, Blockers and several films in the Fast and the Furious franchise.
Cena began dating engineer Shariatzadeh in early 2019, after they met while he was making his film Playing With Fire in Vancouver, the same city Shariatzadeh was working at the time. They wed the following year.
We could expect Cena to make a detour to Melbourne during this Australian visit, if one answer in a recent interview is anything to go by.
During an August interview with Bon Appétit, Cena revealed himself as a passionate coffee lover – and shared his appreciation for an Aussie brew in particular.
He revealed that the best flat whites he’s ever had were in Melbourne because “they are coffee-first people”.
Cena had spent time in Melburne in 2023 when he was shooting the comedy film Ricky Stanicky with Zac Efron, it’s believed he was a regular at Degraves Espresso in the CBD, an iconic coffee spot in the laneways of the city.
In an interview with The Project, he said his typical day in Melbourne was “get coffee, go to the museums and then go to a bar”, and he loved the ‘European’ vibe of the laneways.
