There has been a title change during tonight’s January 23 episode of WWE SmackDown in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
Tonight’s show saw the Wyatt Sicks put the WWE Tag Team Championship on the line against The MFTs.
Defending for the Wyatt Sicks was the usual duo of Joe Gacy and Dexter Lumis, who won the championship back in July from the Street Profits.
Challenging on behalf of the MFTs were the group’s leader Solo Sikoa and Tama Tonga.
The Wyatt Sicks’ near 200 day WWE Tag Team Title reign came to an end tonight as Sikoa and Tonga scored the win against Gacy and Lumis.
At ringside during the match with the MFTs were Tonga Loa and JC Mateo, while Talla Tonga went to the back with the lantern they stole from the Wyatts a few weeks ago.
However, the finishing sequence came when Talla Tonga made his way out to ringside with the lantern in hand, clearly causing a distraction to the Wyatts, with Sikoa using it to strike Lumis before Tama Tonga followed up with his Cut Throat finisher.
