We’ll have to wait on Liv Morgan WrestleMania decision after Royal Rumble win

The field looked ripe for the picking in this year’s women’s Royal Rumble match and, indeed, Liv Morgan made the most of it by winning her first ever 30-woman over-the-top-rope battle royal in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The victory means she gets to choose which champion to face at WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas in a couple months.
When asked on the post show if she knows her decision, she pumped the brakes on all that talk:
“You know, I have the choice to choose any champion that I want and I don’t want to make a brash decision. I don’t want to rush my decision. So I’m going to take my time and I will choose when the time is right, when I think it’s right, on who is right.”
When asked if she will consult with The Judgment Day about her decision:
“Of course! The Judgment Day, we are very tight knit, we talk about everything together, so of course they will be clued in on my decision.”
The kicker here is that Rodriguez will be challenging Stephanie Vaquer for the women’s world championship on Monday Night Raw this week in Philadelphia in a Street Fight. There’s also the matter of Morgan quite literally eliminating Rodriguez en route to her Rumble win, though she claimed after there is no issue between them and all will move along just fine with each having full support for the other.
We’ll see if that holds.
Elimination Chamber stands between now and WrestleMania anyway, but it would appear we are again in for a wait on who Morgan will challenge at the biggest show of the year.
