AFC Wimbledon have signed former Liverpool and Preston North End forward Layton Stewart on loan from Swiss Super League side FC Thun until the end of the season.
The 23-year-old came through Liverpool’s academy and made one senior appearance for the Reds before moving to Preston in 2023.
He made 16 appearances for the Lilywhites before joining Thun, initially on loan, last January before moving on a permanent basis in the summer.
“He is a versatile, enthusiastic and energetic forward and as soon as we spoke he showed a real willingness to come to Wimbledon,” Dons manager Johnnie Jackson said.
