More than 300,000 Nissan Rogue vehicles are being recalled for potential engine failure

(Gray News) – More than 300,000 Nissan Rogue vehicles are being recalled because the engine could fail.

The recall affects certain 2023 to 2025 Nissan Rogue vehicles equipped with three-cylinder, 1.5-liter variable-compression turbo engines.

Increased temperatures can break down the engine oil, which may cause the engine bearings to seize and become damaged, leading to engine failure.

Dealers will reprogram the software, inspect for diagnostic trouble codes and test drive the vehicle. Dealers may also inspect the oil pan for metal debris and replace the engine if necessary.

Owner letters are expected to be mailed by March 27.
