Capitals set to waive F Milano

The Washington Capitals placed forward Sonny Milano on waivers Wednesday.
The 29-year-old forward lost his place on the roster as Connor McMichael was activated from injured reserve.
Milano has four goals and eight points in 31 games with the Capitals this season after being limited to just three games last season. He is signed through this season at cap hit of $1.9 million and is scheduled for unrestricted free agency this summer.
The Capitals will place Sonny Milano on waivers at 2 p.m. ET today with the purpose of assigning him to Hershey of the AHL.
He has been designated as a non-roster player and Connor McMichael was activated from IR.
