Luke Hughes, a defenseman, will miss the rest of the regular season for to have a procedure and begin offseason rehab. … Skinner will make his first start since sustaining an eye injury while on the bench Penguins during a 9-4 win at the Florida Panthers on April 4. Goalie Sergei Mursharov, who was on the ice for Penguins optional skate, was sent to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League. … Penguins coach Dan Muse was non-committal when asked if Lizotte, a center who has not played since March 14, could play Thursday.
