Retirement village applies for alcohol licence

Elysian, St Albans, Operating Company Limited has submitted an application for a new premises licence at The Oakleigh in Oakleigh House, Chiswell Green.
The licence would permit the sale of alcohol for on-site consumption at Botane, the bar and restaurant for residents, homeowners and guests, from 8am to 11pm each day.
It would also cover occasional live music and film events.

The application is open to representations until June 9.
These must be submitted in writing to the council’s licensing section, either by post to Civic Centre, St Peters Street, St Albans, AL1 3JE, or by email to [email protected], stating the grounds for objection.
It is an offence knowingly or recklessly to make a false statement in connection with an application.
The maximum penalty for doing so is a £5,000 fine.
The full application can be viewed at the council offices, Monday to Thursday from 8.45am to 5pm, and Friday from 8.45am to 4.30pm.
