Heath joins the ranks

Cambridge United are pleased to announce the signing of forward Isaac Heath, who joins the Club on a permanent deal from Everton…

The 21-year-old came through the academies of Leeds United and Everton before progressing into the Toffees’ Under 21 side, where he was named Player of the Season in 2024/25.

Heath gained his first taste of senior football last season during a loan spell with Accrington Stanley. He made 30 League Two appearances, scoring four goals and providing four assists, while also collecting three Young Player of the Season awards at the club’s end-of-season presentation evening.

Having completed his first full campaign in the EFL, Heath now arrives at the Cledara Abbey Stadium on a three-year deal, subject to EFL and FA approval.

Heath said, “I’m delighted to get the move over the line. This feels like the right club for me at this stage of my career, and my conversations with the manager played a big part in my decision to come here.

“We spoke in depth about how I fit into the team’s style of play and the plans for me going forward, which really excited me. I’m just looking forward to getting started now.”

Neil Harris added, “I am delighted to welcome Isaac to the football club. We had to fend off strong competition for his signature, and we’re really pleased he’s chosen to join us.

“He’s a young player with a huge amount of development ahead of him, and I look forward to helping him on his footballing journey.

“Isaac gives us versatility across the front line and will add a real attacking threat to the squad.”
