Investigators found her car near 35th and Lake Park Avenue. Relatives said there is new video that shows Brown leaving her vehicle Saturday morning around 3 a.m., but not returning.

Chicago police said in a statement on Friday afternoon that a surveillance image had captured Brown in the area of the 3500-block South Lake Park Avenue.

In the surveillance image, which is not day or time-stamped, Brown is wearing a black winter hat, a black coat, black pants, and black rubber snow boots.

Molly Seedhouse worked with the special ed teacher for 10 years.

“We know that the police have been here with dogs and drones and diving teams, but we’re hopeful that more people and more eyes will lead to some type of information that leads us to find Linda,” Seedhouse said.

Brown’s brother-in-law led other family and friends in prayer before setting off to search for her along the lakefront.

Friends said before she disappeared, Brown often came to the lakefront to clear her head and had recently been experiencing anxiety about returning to the classroom after a leave of absence.

“It could be a mental health challenge,” Seedhouse said. “It could be a physical health challenge. She’s had some other medical challenges that could be impacting her ability to be totally coherent.”

Brown disappeared last weekend. Her husband says when he woke up and she was gone.

Chicago police said the woman was seen on Saturday in the 4500-block of South King Drive, not far from where she lives.

Her brother-in-law said it is possible that she is still on foot, and it is important for the public to continue to look for her.

Family and friends continue to circulate flyers with Brown’s photo online and throughout the Chicago area.

Police asked anyone with information to contact Area One SVU detectives at 312-747-8380 or, anyone finds Brown, they should call 911.
