Kings guard Dennis Schroder suspended three games for off-court altercation

The incident occurred approximately 40 minutes after the Kings’ 125-101 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers on Dec. 28 at Crypto.com Arena, when Schröder allegedly sought out the player in a hallway and initiated the confrontation, according to a release from the league.
Lakers superstar Luka Dončić was the player Schröder confronted, NBA on Prime Insider Chris Haynes reported on Saturday.
Schröder, 32, is averaging 13 points, 3.3 rebounds and 5.7 assists so far in his first season with the Kings. He has played for nine teams over the last five seasons, including three in 2024-25 alone: the Brooklyn Nets, Golden State Warriors and Detroit Pistons.
The six-foot-one journeyman has previously been suspended for a total of three games in his career. Schröder was suspended for one game by the league for two separate on-court physical altercations in 2013 and 2018, and was suspended for one game by the Atlanta Hawks organization for failing to return to the team on time after the 2017 all-star break.
Schröder will begin serving his suspension on Sunday when the Kings host the Houston Rockets.
