Bills rule out Canadian receiver Joshua Palmer for wild-card game vs. Jaguars

Josh Allen will be down a skill player on Sunday.
Buffalo Bills wide receiver Joshua Palmer has been ruled out for Sunday’s wild-card playoff game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, the team announced on Saturday.
Palmer, of Brampton, Ont., is part of a Bills wide receiver group which was often scrutinized this season.
In his first year in Buffalo, Palmer had only 22 receptions for 303 yards and no touchdowns in 12 regular-season games.
Palmer was drafted in the third round, 77th overall by the Los Angeles Chargers in 2021. He played four seasons in Los Angeles, recording a career-best 769 receiving yards in 2022.
He appeared just one playoff game for the Chargers in that 2022 season, recording two receptions for 31 yards.
The Bills will likely lean on former Jaguar Gabe Davis in Palmer’s absence. Buffalo’s leading receiver this season was Khalil Shakir who had 719 yards, 44th-most in the NFL. Keon Coleman is reportedly expected to be active for the game.
The Bills and Jaguars square off Sunday at 1 p.m. ET / 10 a.m. PT.
