The 17th pick in the 2025 NBA draft has spent time in the G League with the Iowa Wolves, allowing him to develop and stay in a rhythm on the court in an expanded role. Finch and the team have been encouraged by his showing with Iowa.
“Every minute for a guy like Joan is valuable,” Finch said. “I think what he is doing down in the G League right now is super exciting, and to have him come up here, in the short minutes that he gets, make an impact, that is what you want. He is doing his homework and is getting good grades.”
Beringer is averaging 1.8 points and 1.5 rebounds on 64.7% shooting from the field in 58 minutes across 13 games with the Timberwolves. He has made only four appearances for Finch since the middle of November, totaling 21 minutes in mop-up duty.

The 6-foot-11 Frenchman is averaging 11.6 points, 8.4 rebounds and 2.7 blocks on 56.7% shooting from the field in seven games with Iowa. He has registered three doubles, including a 10-point, 11-rebound debut on Dec. 12 in a loss to the Motor City Cruise.
The organization was ecstatic to add Beringer to the roster as one of the top international prospects in the draft. The team will continue to explore opportunities for him in the G League to maximize his development throughout the season.
