Florida shopper bags more than groceries at Publix with $1M Powerball win

PALM SPRINGS, Fla. (CBS12) — Someone who bought a Powerball ticket at a Palm Springs Publix is waking up a millionaire on Tuesday.
The Florida Lottery says the winning ticket, worth $1 million, was sold at the Publix at 1700 S Congress Avenue in Palm Springs. The ticket matched all five white balls in Monday night’s drawing but missed the Powerball number.
The winning numbers were 5-27-45-56-59, with the Powerball 4 and a Power Play multiplier of 2. Lottery officials confirmed the ticket was a Quick Pick.
While the $137 million jackpot went unclaimed, it now rolls over to $156 million for Wednesday night’s drawing, according to the news release.
