Team USA legend Kaillie Humphries and the mother of all missions: Inspired by Serena Williams

‘Mum strength is a whole new level’
Humphries’s Instagram is a fountain of inspirational videos, from squatting while carrying both her husband, former bobsledder Travis Armbruster, and son Aulden at the same time, to charting her success on the bobsleigh track since becoming a mother.
“I’m working on my second body, my whole new life,” Humphries told Olympics.com in an exclusive interview last year.
“Coming back, it’s a very different body… but I do feel there’s a whole other level I could have never gotten to had I not been a mum. Mum strength is a whole new level, and I’m hoping that’ll be perfect timing for the 2026 Olympics.”
The timing was indeed perfect, and in January – just a month before the Winter Olympics – she returned to the top of the World Cup podium in monobob.
It was in Altenberg, Germany, where she won her first monobob event for almost three years, and having won two of the two-woman events in 2025-26 with Emily Renna as well, she arrives in Italy in red-hot form.
Up next: the mother of all missions…
