What a way to end it for the Dominican. Back in the third inning, we felt sure this game was heading for a mercy rule ending, but the Korean staff managed to quiet the D.R. bat for a while. Sure enough, though, there’s just too much offense in that lineup, and an Austin Wells three-run homer in the seventh inning put the Dominican Republic ahead 10-0 to end it. Mercy, indeed.
