Who is the Boozer twins’ dad? What to know about Cameron, Cayden and Carlos Boozer

Cameron and Cayden Boozer look to continue to follow in their dad Carlos’ footsteps at the 2026 Men’s NCAA Tournament.

The twins already followed in Carlos’ footsteps with their commitment to Duke basketball and by winning the ACC championship, now looking to bring the Blue Devils their sixth NCAA Tournament title, something their father did in 2001.

Miami natives, Cameron and Cayden played at Columbus High School. They were Duke’s first commitments in its 2025 class, committing to the Blue Devils and head coach Jon Scheyer in October 2024 over their hometown team of the Miami Hurricanes.

Cameron leads the team in points (22.5), rebounds (10.2) and assists (4.2), being a favorite for National Player of the Year. The power forward is also the ACC’s Player and Rookie of the Year and was also a first-team All ACC selection. Cayden is averaging 7.1 points with 2.8 assists and 2.1 rebounds per game. He is coming off back-to-back career high outings (16 points) in the ACC Tournament and 19 point in the NCAA opener against Siena.

Duke plays in the March Madness Sweet 16 on Friday, March 27 at 7:10 p.m. ET on CBS.

Carlos Boozer Duke basketball career

Carlos played at Duke between 1999-2002 for coach Mike Krzyzewski. He averaged 14.9 points and 7.9 rebounds during his Blue Devils career and is Duke’s all-time leader in field goal percentage (.631). He also was named a 2002 first-team All-ACC selection and as the ACC Tournament’s Most Valuable Player, an honor Cameron was awarded following Duke claiming its second-straight ACC Tournament title on March 14.

Carlos went on to be selected in the second round of the 2002 NBA Draft by the Cleveland Cavaliers, playing a 13-year professional career spanning 861 games with 13,976 points scored and 8,192 rebounds. He was a two-time NBA All-Star and two-time Olympic medalist with Team USA, winning bronze in 2004 and gold in 2008.
