An episode of Coronation Street is set to air on ITV1 tonight. This week’s schedule has faced a major shake-up, with viewers left without an episode on Friday night. But soap fans won’t ne short changed as ITV has scheduled an episode tonight (Sunday March 29) to replace Friday’s missing broadcast.
The soap usually airs weekdays at 8.30pm, but fans missed out on Friday’s instalment as it was taken off the schedule due to sports coverage on ITV1.
Coverage of England vs Uruguay started at 7pm, ready for a 7.45pm kick-off time. This meant Coronation Street and Emmerdale did not air in their usual time slots.
ITV has scheduled an additional episode to air today instead.
Emmerdale will air at the earlier time of 7pm tonight (Sunday, March 29) shortly followed by Coronation Street at 7.30pm on ITV1, to make up for Friday’s missing episodes.

Unfortunately, this isn’t the end of the schedule changes on ITV. Coronation Street airs as normal on Monday, but no episode will air on Tuesday (March 31). The same applies for Emmerdale.
Coverage of England vs Japan will be broadcast live from Wembley Stadium. The broadcast begins at 7pm ready for a 7.45pm kick-off time again.
For the second week in a row, Coronation Street will air on a Sunday evening to make up for the missing episode. It will air on Sunday April, 5.
Thankfully, the soap continues in its normal schedule the following week- airing Monday-Friday at 8.30pm on ITV1.
Coronation Street spoilers have revealed Theo’s true colours are set to be exposed next week. Things have escalated in recent weeks and viewers were pleased to see Theo end his relationship with Todd.
We’ve watched through months of pain and torture as Todd lost himself within this abusive relationship. However, the couple have now reconciled.
Despite Todd remaining silent about the truth behind his relationship, George has started to make his own predictions about what Theo’s behaviour is really like behind closed doors.
Next week, Christina and Summer bring Glenda and Sarah up to speed on George’s theory that Theo is abusing Todd, horrified to realise Todd has been suffering in silence.
Todd arrives for work and realising they’re talking about him, leaps to Theo’s defence. George doesn’t believe a word.
Sarah shares her concerns with a sceptical Gary, but when Sarah lists all the incidents which point at domestic abuse, the scales fall from his eyes.
As Todd steals himself to enter the flat, Gary appears and offers to accompany him. Upon hearing the key in the door, Theo shouts abuse, but he’s taken aback to realise Todd has Gary with him.
