The Easter weekend is almost here and many of us will be looking forward to a couple of extra days off work due to the bank holidays. While some will be spending the weekend relaxing with friends and family, for others it is a chance to hit the shops.
Most big retailers will be open on Good Friday and Easter Monday although some will see changes to their opening hours. Easter Sunday will also see many shops closing with larger shops required to close due to trading laws.
According to Gov.uk, shops over 280 square metres can open on Sundays, but only for six consecutive hours between 10am and 6pm.
They must close on Easter Sunday and Christmas Day.
Home Bargains and B&M are no exception and shoppers looking to grab treats and essentials would be best to double check store opening times before visiting.
Trading rules are different in Scotland, where all stores are allowed to stay open on Easter Sunday, regardless of their size.

Home Bargains
Home Bargains’ opening hours will vary between stores for Good Friday (April 3) and Easter Monday (April 6) with changes to hours including late openings and early closures.
Some shops will see altered hours on both bank holidays and others only on one, and therefore shoppers are advised to check Home Bargains’ store locator online for individual store opening times.
Shops will be open as usual on Saturday (April 4).
Scottish stores are open as usual on Easter Sunday (April 5) however all other stores will be closed.

It appears that many B&M stores in Liverpool will be operating their usual trading hours on Good Friday, Saturday (April 4) and Easter Monday.
Shoppers can check the B&M store locator for exact hours, which vary from store to store.
Scottish stores are open as usual on Easter Sunday however all other stores will be closed.
