- Defending Class A state champion Scarsdale has three games scheduled this week.
Welcome to the another week of flag football action.
Stephen Haynes and Frank Becerra Jr. were out at Tappan Zee’s win over Scarsdale in a battle of a couple of teams who were in state championship games. Those kind of matchups help to sharpen you in the early going of the regular season.
It was also clear that Tappan Zee, which still has a core of players from the 2025 Class B state runner-up, is going to be handful for teams in sectionals and maybe farther.
