Leafs sign F Sim to two-year, entry-level deal

The Toronto Maple Leafs announced the signing of forward Landon Sim to a two-year, entry-level contract on Tuesday.

Sim, 21, had signed an American Hockey League contract with the organization last spring.

A native of New Glasgow, NS, Sim has three goals in 18 games with the Toronto Marlies this season. He also registered six points in 18 games for the ECHL’s Cincinnati Cyclones.

Originally taken with the 184th overall selection of the 2022 NHL Entry Draft by the St. Louis Blues, Sim spent four seasons with the Ontario Hockey League’s London Knights. Sim won the Memorial Cup with the team last spring, scoring 12 goals and adding three assists in 17 playoff contests.

The Marlies open their playoff schedule with a best-of-three series with the Laval Rocket beginning on Saturday.
