Baylor confirms KWTX report: Post Malone & Jelly Roll concert at McLane Stadium canceled

WACO, Texas (KWTX) – The Post Malone and Jelly Roll concert at Baylor University will be canceled, Baylor University confirmed Friday afternoon.
“We were obviously disappointed to receive this news from Live Nation. The combination of Post Malone and Jelly Roll certainly brought a lot of excitement and attention to Waco,” said Baylor Vice President and CMO Jason Cook, “Be assured we are already working on future concert options for McLane Stadium.”
Both artists, along with Carter Faith, were scheduled to perform at McLane Stadium on May 19 as part of the Big Stadium Tour Part 2.
The concert would have been one of only two Texas shows for the tour; the other on May 13 at the Sun Bowl Stadium in El Paso.
Cook said Baylor University is looking forward to other events, like Willie Nelson coming to Baylor Ballpark May 14, and Old Dominion on sale for a Family Weekend concert on Sept. 18.
“More announcements in the works, our concert calendar will continue to be full with national-level entertainers.”
A reason for the cancellation was not provided. Several ticket holders on Friday afternoon began emailing KWTX screenshots of their cancellation notices from Live Nation.
