Who is Vincent Kompany married to? This is the Bayern Munich head coach’s wife Carla Higgs

As the saying goes, behind every great man there’s a great woman and in the case of Bayern Munich head coach Vincent Kompany, it’s his wife Carla who provides all the support he needs.
Hit the north
Born and raised in Manchester, Carla Higgs is a lifelong City fan and so it’s easy to see how she was instantly attracted to the towering center-back, who spent 11 seasons at the club. During that time, the ever-dependable Kompany was regarded by many as one of the best central defenders in Premier League history.
A dignified leader and captain, and a savvy, strong defender, Belgian-born Kompany was right at the heart of City’s most successful era – winning four league titles and six domestic cups under Roberto Mancini, Manuel Pellegrini and Pep Guardiola.
Mancunian matchmaker
Vincent met Carla while he was still on the books at Hamburg. Nedum Onuoha, a mutual friend who was breaking into the first team at City, introduced them.
“I met Vinny before he came to City,” Onuoha. “He was a massive prospect at Anderlecht, then Hamburg, so I’d heard of him and went to watch him at Hamburg. I spent a few days with him and we became friends – in fact, I liked him so much that I introduced him to a friend of mine back in Manchester called Carla. Not only did he sign for City months later, but he eventually married her and they now have children!”
Vincent and Carla tied the knot at Castle Ashby in Northampton on June 11, 2011.
Not much is known about Carla, who is said to be very much a private person who prefers to stay away from the media glare. Her attention is focused on the couple’s three children: Sienna, Kai and Kylan. She also runs a successful business and is deeply involved in several philanthropic projects.
