All traffic has been stopped on a stretch of the M6 motorway this morning.
Traffic is currently being held on the northbound side of the motorway. It has been stopped at junction 20 for the Lymm Interchange, near Warrington.
The incident happened at around 10.30am. Motorway cameras show long queues building up to the closure.
