Proposed change to security arrangements at Stourbridge Tesco store

Tesco Stores Limited has applied for a minor variation to its premises licence for its superstore in the Crown Centre.
The proposed amendment seeks to replace the existing requirement for constant security during licensable activities at the premises with a risk-based approach.
Under the new system, the premises licence holder would carry out assessments to determine the need for SIA-registered security.
Security personnel would then be deployed based on the outcome of these assessments.
The assessment would take police input into account and would be reviewed following any incidents relevant to security needs.
Police would also be able to access the current assessment upon reasonable request.
Tesco Stores Limited submitted the application on May 12, and the public have until May 27 to submit comments or concerns.
The application has been submitted to Dudley Council.
