Person found dead on tracks with trains between Glasgow and Edinburgh cancelled

Trains between Glasgow Queen Street and Edinburgh have been cancelled after a person was found dead on the tracks on Tuesday.

Emergency services were called to the line at Croy railway station at around 8.15am following reports of a casualty.

The individual was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident is not being treated as suspicious.

ScotRail confirmed that the track is blocked, causing disruption to services between Glasgow Queen Street and Edinburgh / Stirling via Bishopbriggs.

It is not known when the line will reopen.
