Wild to re-sign Michael McCarron to six-year, $19.8M deal

The Minnesota Wild are re-signing the forward to a six-year, $19.8 million deal, Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman reported Tuesday.
McCarron, 31, was acquired by the Wild from the Nashville Predators ahead of this season’s NHL trade deadline.
He recorded three goals and two assists in 20 regular-season games with the Wild, then added two goals and two assists in 11 post-season contests.
Over 381 career games with the Wild, Predators and Montreal Canadiens, McCarron has registered 36 goals and 43 assists.
He was selected by the Canadiens 25th overall in the 2013 NHL Draft.
