Cooler Saturday; Tracking Next Weather Maker Sunday With Storms On The Way

(Updated June 13, 7:50 p.m.) Sunday is a Weather Alert day as severe storms roll in tomorrow.

The Storm Prediction Center has placed all of Maryland under a slight risk, threat level two of five, for severe weather. This means that severe storms are likely.

Severe Thunderstorm Forecast

Storms will move in tomorrow afternoon and last into the night. After midnight, showers will taper, and by Monday’s sunrise, it will be dry.

Damaging wind gusts are the primary threat, but all types of severe weather are possible. This includes isolated tornadoes, hail and brief downpours.

Behind storms, temperatures will be more comfortable to start the workweek. Highs will reach the low 80s on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Highs will rise to the upper 80s and 90s on Thursday and Friday with both days bringing the chance of rain.
