The British royal family has officially welcomed another little royal into the line of succession. On Monday, Princess Eugenie gave birth to a baby girl, whose name has not yet been released. This is the princess’s third child, and first daughter, with her husband Jack Brooksbank. Congratulations all around!
The official royal family account announced the birth on social media on Tuesday. Alongside a photo of the new baby, the caption stated, “Her Royal Highness Princess Eugenie and Mr Jack Brooksbank are delighted to announce the safe arrival of their daughter, born on Monday, 3rd August 2026, at 6.20pm, at a hospital in Lisbon, Portugal.” The announcement also revealed that the baby weighed six pounds and nine ounces. “Their Majesties The King and Queen and other members of The Royal Family were delighted to be informed of the news,” the statement concluded.
Eugenie made her own announcement on Instagram as well. Using the same picture, which was apparently taken by Brooksbank, she wrote in the caption, “Jack and I are so excited to announce Baby Girl Brooksbank!! We are beyond in love with our girlie.” Eugenie and Brooksbank also share sons August Philip Hawke, 5, and Ernest George Ronnie, 3, who, according to Buckingham Palace, were very excited to welcome a new sibling. But who doesn’t love a baby?
