WWE Injury Update on Superstar With Roman Reigns Ties

There is an update on one injured WWE superstar, who happens to be the cousin of top “Monday Night Raw” star Roman Reigns. Fightful reports that Lance Anoa’i remains on the “NXT” roster, but he is recovering from an injury. The report notes that Anoa’i was initially set to be cleared in early 2025, but he ended up suffering another injury that sidelined him longer than expected.
Anoa’i signed a deal with WWE in 2024. He has yet to appear on “NXT” under his current contract, and many expected him to be featured on “Evolve.” There’s currently no word on when Anoa’i will be able to perform.

Lance Anoa’i’s Recent Matches
Anoa’i hasn’t performed inside the ring since Aug. 25, 2024. He faced TNA Wrestling talent KC Navarro in a singles match, but a winner wasn’t determined. The match took place at “BPW Blitzed” in Brodheadsville.
Anoa’i also won a quarterfinal match in the AXW Heritage Title Tournament against Dustin Waller. The Samoan veteran ended up bowing out of the tournament, as he was ready to commit to WWE prior to his initial injury.
Previous WWE Appearances
Over the last several years, Anoa’i has made sporadic appearances on WWE TV. He was featured on the Jan. 2, 2015 episode of “SmackDown,” teaming with Rhett Titus in a losing effort against The Ascension. Both Anoa’i and Titus reappeared for the Feb. 1, 2017 episode of “NXT.” They lost another tag team match, this time against Authors of Pain.
On May 27, 2019, episode of “Monday Night Raw,” Anoa’i lost a singles match against Shane McMahon due to outside interference from Drew McIntyre. During the post-match beatdown, Reigns made the save for his cousin.
