A rejected phone call made the American hunter a millionaire

A Kentucky hunter said that rejecting a phone call from his son while he was waiting at the hunting lodge led to his winning the $1.1 million jackpot.

The man said that while he was waiting for a deer to come out, he decided to try his luck at the online game “Wolf Ridge Jackpots.” After a $30 bet — and right after his son called him and he declined — he won big.

He said the game was interrupted by a phone call from family members – and calmed down, then returned to the party when he heard the sound announcing the winner.

He immediately contacted his wife to share the news – and they were shocked when they confirmed that they had indeed won such a large sum.

The couple said they will use the money to pay off debts, buy a new home and help the family.

“It took me 50 years to become a millionaire – in one fell swoop,” said the surprised winner. /Telegraph/
