Southern Ill. high school principal facing felony charge resigns, superintendent says

WEST FRANKFORT, Ill. (KFVS) – The Frankfort Community School District announced that Aaron Hill has resigned as of Monday night.
The school district said it received an irrevocable letter of resignation from Hill on June 1, and the resignation is effective immediately.
He was serving as the principal at Frankfort Community High School.
Principal Aaron Hill was placed on administrative leave Tuesday night, according to a statement from Frankfort School District superintendent Matt Donkin.(KFVS)
Hill is currently facing a felony aggravated battery charge in connection with an investigation in Franklin County, Illinois.
The charge is related to an incident that happened outside of school.
The school district also announced it will be posting an advertisement for the position on its website at www.wfschools.org.
The board of education is planning to hold a special meeting on Thursday, June 11, to consider personnel issues.
