5 Emmerdale spoilers for tonight as Lewis is left devastated over Kev

Emmerdale spoilers follow from Monday’s episode (27 July), which is available to watch now on ITVX and YouTube but hasn’t aired on ITV1.
In tonight’s Emmerdale, Lewis’s birthday doesn’t go according to plan when events with Kev spiral badly out of control.
Meanwhile, suspicious Joe senses that Caleb is hiding a big secret.
Read on for five big moments from Monday’s episode.
1. Steve refuses to back down
ITV
Kev puts the final preparations in place for Lewis’s birthday, determined to make a good impression on his son.
His pure intentions stand in stark contrast to Steve, who’s still plotting a robbery at Home Farm under everyone’s noses. Kev previously warned Steve not to cause trouble in the village, but it seems that he’s determined not to listen.
2. Lewis’s birthday celebrations go badly wrong
ITV
When Kev finds out what Steve is planning, Vinny is horrified to witness a suspicious moment between the two friends. Vinny discreetly reports back to Ross, but they fail to conceal the news from Lewis for long.
Kev soon turns up for the birthday gathering and tempers flare as he’s wrongly accused of returning to crime. In the chaos that follows, Kev lashes out at Ross but accidentally punches a devastated Lewis. Is there any coming back from this?
3. Caleb causes problems for Joe
ITV
At the pub, Joe approaches Noah and tries to rekindle their brotherly connection, missing the days when they were on better terms.
Noah reveals his hopes of securing a new job in Germany, but the friendly moment is interrupted when Caleb intervenes and tries to sabotage things.
4. Joe smells a rat
ITV
Later, Joe visits the depot to have a word with Caleb about his earlier meddling. Caleb secretly panics, wanting Joe to leave as quickly as possible so that he doesn’t stumble across evidence of the counterfeit car parts scheme.
Caleb plays nice so that Joe goes away, but his sudden change in attitude arouses Joe’s suspicions about what’s happening at the depot.
5. Gabby could throw a spanner in the works
ITV
Joe also has Gabby’s recent warnings on his mind – she has told him that Dawn could still have feelings for Billy.
As Joe keeps a close eye on the situation, will he spot any signs that Gabby is right?
Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 8pm on ITV1, and streams on ITVX.
