Soft, sweet or savoury: IRN-BRU themed food hits Glasgow carnival

A playful food partnership is adding extra flavour to the festive season with dishes that promise to surprise and delight.
The Glasgow-based IRN-BRU Carnival, the largest indoor funfair in Europe, has teamed up with Clydebuilt Restaurant to introduce limited-edition menu items inspired by Scotland’s beloved soft drink.
The 106th edition of the IRN-BRU Carnival opened on Friday, December 19, and runs until January 11.
During this period, visitors can try three IRN-BRU-themed treats: pakora, cheesecake and a Mr Whippy-style soft-serve ice cream.
Allan Gray-Smith, general manager of SEC Food, said: “We’re delighted to partner up with the IRN-BRU Carnival for these fun-themed dishes exclusive for Carnival season, which is always a popular time with families.
